You’ll join one of our food loving hosts to explore Hong Kong's food culture in the heart of the colourful Kowloon neighborhood. Game changer - you’ll do so after dark. Eat your way around traditional night markets where you can try everything from steamed crab to fried octopus tentacles or head to Dundas Street and explore the gaai, where you’ll find tiny bars selling drinks ranging from herbal medicines to beers! Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded local host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Your itinerary is flexible, so during the experience, you can always change your mind about what you want to do.

Excellent Introduction into Kowloon

Our guide, Ed, was excellent and helped introduce us into Kowloon and Hong Kong in general. Our ship docked in the afternoon and we meet Ed just outside the cruise terminal. At that point, he took us to Kowloon using the Metro system, while giving us background on the city, its history and current political situation. We walked through various night markets getting an excellent feel for Kowloon. It was a great introduction.
